I am writing to make you aware that nominations are open for Teacher of the Year in Providence Public Schools. Because we have so many terrific and hardworking educators, I want to make sure that all of you have the chance to nominate someone who goes above and beyond to ensure the success of our students.

Attached to this email you will find the procedure for submitting a nominee, and the characteristics to consider when you are making your choice. Please note that your submissions are due by next Friday, April 29. All PPSD community members are welcome and encouraged to make a nomination, whether you are a fellow teacher, administrator, student, parent, or Providence resident.

The person selected as Teacher of the Year in Providence Public Schools will also automatically be submitted as a candidate for Rhode Island Teacher of the Year. This is a chance to recognize the outstanding efforts of our educators, and I encourage all of you to take part. Thank you.
